Steve Berry - Chairman

Steve began his career in finance. His international banking experience includes the Bankers Trust Company where he worked in capital and securities markets for over 10 years in New York, London, and Tokyo. Afterward, he began his current career in private equity venturing.

His business career spans 25 years, and includes starting and floating several companies. He holds several non-executive directorships. Steve Heads up Waterbridge Capital, a specialist private equity operation with international interests in the areas of financial services, IT & telecommunications, security and outsourcing.

Steve received his MBA in finance from Harvard School of Business and a BSc in Economics from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Paul Salzedo – Chief Executive Officer

Paul has over 15 years experience across the security industry (including operational, information, physical, investigations, TSCM, BCP and DR). He spent 6 years as Head of Internal Security for a national security organisation. Paul has lead on many diverse projects including major public buildings (£80M PFI), International Banks and Premiership Football Clubs

He has held senior roles in electronics manufacturing, security and telecommunications industries. Paul is also a founding director of Aappro Ltd, a supplier of world-leading specialist GSM hardware and software solutions supplier exclusively for the Police, Military and Law Enforcement community.

Paul studied Electronic Engineering (Uxbridge) and Audio Engineering (Middlesex) and is a CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional).

Maury Shenk - Associate

Maury Shenk has more than 15 years experience as a lawyer focusing on technology matters, including information security, data protection, lawful access to communications, electronic surveillance, encryption and related matters.

He was a founder and long-time manager of the world's leading resource on encryption law and regulation, the Country-by-Country Guide to Encryption Regulations (www.cryptoguide.com). 

Maury is currently European TMT Advisor at global law firm Steptoe & Johnson (where he was formerly London managing partner), and assists several small technology companies as a director and/or advisor.

Steve Bucklin - Associate

Steve has more then 20 years experience working for the Security Services.

He is a recognised encryption and covert communications expert. Steve advises the Board on secure communications and bespoke technical solutions.

Alan Melia - Associate

Alan has worked for nearly three decades in IT and has extensive experience across multiple disciplines, platforms and formats. He has spent fourteen years working for Microsoft and specialised in computer security and forensics. Working within the elite Microsoft internal-investigations team he is recognised as a world-class expert in byte-level forensic analysis, with an unrivalled expertise in protocol function across all layers of the OSI model. 

Alan’s expertise has been called upon across the globe with clients ranging from individual users to governments and security agencies.
 
Alan holds extensive certifications in Microsoft Technologies together with CISSP and is in his final year of an MSc from The Centre for Forensic Computing at the Defence College of Management and Technology (DCMT).
 

Dr Brad K Blitz - Associate

Brad K. Blitz received his PhD from Stanford University where he specialised in international politics.

He is currently Jean Monnet Chair in Political Geography at Oxford Brookes University and is a Research Associate at Oxford University's Department of International Development. He has published extensively on issues of post-conflict transition, migration, human rights, European and international politics. He has also advised and served as a consultant to the World Bank, DFID, UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human RIghts (OHCHR), Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Council of Europe and several national ministries.

Lord Toby Harris

Lord Toby Harris has been a member of the House of Lords since 1998. He Chairs the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Policing and is Treasurer of the Parliamentary Information Technology Committee (PITCOM). Member of the House of Lords Select Committee on Personal Internet Security (2006-7). He was first Chair of the Metropolitan Police Authority (MPA) from 2000-2004 and continues to sit on the MPA as the representative of the Home Secretary with a remit to oversee the national and international functions of the Metropolitan Police, primarily its role in counter-terrorism and security. Lord Harris also chairs the Independent Advisory Panel on Deaths in Custody.

Ami Feder

Ami Feder is a Barrister (1965 call) and a member of the Israel Bar. He is Head of Chambers at Lamb Building – The Chambers of Ami Feder, whose field of practice is fraud.
